Trees. We need them. Yes, trees benefit us. They clean and cool the air; they shelter wildlife and dress our views in green. They boost property values, manage rain water, and conserve soil. Did you know that four trees are destroyed for every one that is planted? We are the organization working to reverse this devastating ratio and we are dedicated to the reforestation of Houston. It would be great if money grew on trees. But in the real world we must depend on our friends to provide the "seed money" to make it all happen. Last year Trees For Houston added our "24th growth ring." Since 1983 we have planted over 301,808 trees and seedlings along Houston freeways, thoroughfares, residential streets and schools. We need your support to continue these vital programs.
