Please join us on Saturday, April 5th for Chevron’s Let’s Grow tree potting event in partnership with the Texas Forrest Service and Trees For Houston .  Let's Grow is an exciting, fast paced event - a little dirty, and lots of fun.  We expect our 2008 event to be the best ever.

Our Humble field tree grow-out site will be receiving approximately 5,000 tree seedlings and enough containers and potting soil to get everything planted.  The Texas Forrest Service will send a variety species of trees to be potted including several varieties of Oak, Bald Cypress, and other hardwood trees that grow well in the Southwest region of the US.  This map should help you locate the grow-out site.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., general orientation starting at 9:30 a.m., and then we will start potting.  Lunch will be served at 11:00 a.m. or when the potting is complete.  Our annual Let's Grow tree potting event will take place rain or shine.

To help plan our food service, please complete and mail or fax the Volunteer Confirmation Sheet back to Melissa L Schmid by Friday, March 21st.  The fax number is 832-854-5566 and the mailing address is Chevron U.S.A. Inc., 1500 Louisiana St., 07-814C, Houston, TX  77002.

We look forward to seeing you at the Let's Grow potting event. Questions? Email abby@treesforhouston.org
