Our tribute programs offers individuals the opportunity to commemorate special people or events by planting a tree in our Tribute Grove. Since 1997, 2,456 trees have been planted in our Tribute Groves.

A gift to Trees For Houston is an excellent way to enhance the environment while paying tribute to a loved one. You can make a memorial gift, honor a special friend or relative or commemorate a special occasion. Tribute trees will be planted in the new Trees For Houston Tribute Grove located in Hermann Park along Fannin Street and North MacGregor Street.

Tribute Options

• $310 for a 15-gallon tree, approximately 6-8 feet tall, 1 1/2 inch caliper, container grown.
• $450 for a 30-gallon tree, approximately 8-12 feet tall, 2 inches caliper, container grown.
• $825 for a 65-gallon tree, approximately 14-16 feet tall, 3 inches caliper, container grown.
• $1,300 for a 100-gallon tree, approximately 15-18 feet tall, 4 inches caliper, container grown.

This price includes initial planting, mulching, staking, fertilizing and watering. In addition, all trees in the Tribute Grove are maintained for two years, which includes frequent watering, mulching, pruning and weed control.


Donations of $30 or more will go toward the planting and maintenance of trees on Houston thoroughfares. All tribute recipients will be acknowledged with a gift card. For more information contact our office or complete the order form and mail with your check to Trees For Houston.
