Trees For Houston's spring fundraising event to help raise funds to fulfill our mission to plant, protect and promote trees along parkways, thoroughfares, neighborhoods and schools.

La Noche de Los Arboles- The Night of the Trees

Nestled in the towering pines near Memorial Park, Trees For Houston hosted the 16th Annual Root Ball on April 8. More than 450 fashionable tree-huggers partied around the pool and beneath an arbor of oaks on the beautiful spring night, raising funds to plant, protect and promote trees.

The theme "La Noche de los Arboles" provided for a Mexican fiesta with tequila flowing, a bountiful buffet of Tex-Mex staples and a Queso photo booth. Swift + Co. transported guests south of the border with brightly colored tablescapes. Charming chairmen Lisa and Will Mathis and Sarah and Steve Pitt raised a record $320,000 for Trees For Houston planting programs. We sincerely thank them for their extraordinary efforts.
