25th Anniversary Celebration
The storm passed, the stars brightened and for the first time, our supporters celebrated without a tent between them and evening sky.
This was our 25th anniversary, so we honored our founding chairman, Carroll Shaddock. It was Thursday, April 2nd, at a private club, and it drew a crowd of 500. The energy and inventiveness of our chairs made the evening. Thanks, Allison Parsley, Kathleen Pressler, and Sissy Roberts.
Elizabeth S. Copeland of Swift + Co. transformed the club into a fabulous garden of green tables with accents of yellow. A crisp white lounge nestled by the stage. The sounds of Alterego brought people to the dance floor.
Fried chicken and grits were accompanied by an eco-friendly Black Box Wine. Guests played the classic carnival game, Ring the Bottle, for significant wines donated from the cellars of our directors.
Root Ball succeeded in raising $200,000 to support our mission to plant, protect, and promote trees.
