Got Questions?

  • How do I get free trees?

If you would like to receive free trees for yourself or a planned project, please click here to fill out our tree request form. Please note that tree pickups are by appointment only. Trees For Houston will process your request and will reach back to you as soon as possible to schedule an appointment for your tree pickup.

  • My tree looks like it is dying, can someone come out and see if it has bugs or is sick?

Trees For Houston plants trees, we do not diagnose them. We recommend consulting a certified arborist with questions regarding the health of your tree. Click here for a list of certified arborists.

  • I have a tree that needs to be moved as we are adding on to our home, can I donate it to you?

Trees For Houston currently does not accept containerized tree donations. Trees For Houston maintains a fully stocked tree farm with limited resources and equipment to accept individual trees being moved from a homeowners yard. However, we recommend donating to a local park, school, church or community center.

  • I have a tree that needs to be trimmed, can you come out and trim it?

Trees For Houston only plants trees, we do not trim them. We recommend contacting a bonded tree company for your tree care and maintenance.

  • I lost a large oak tree in the back yard. Can you plant a replacement tree in my back yard for me?

Trees For Houston only plants in the public right-of-way, which is usually the area between the street and the sidewalk.

  • I'm an Eagle/Girl Scout looking to plan a planting project. Can Trees For Houston help me?

Yes. Once your group has finalized logistics of your project, you can contact us regarding a tree donation.

  • The school my daughter attends needs trees, do you plant around schools?

Yes. We plant a minimum of 25 school campuses each year. Click here to request trees at your school.
