Education and Outreach
Our goal at Trees For Houston is to educate students, children, adults and families on the science and community impact of the urban forest and foster stewardship of our natural resources. Our education programs cover Houston’s urban forests, tree biology, urban ecology, environmental stewardship, and hands-on learning projects at the adjacent tree nursery. Aside from our regular programs, we offer programs upon request to meet the needs of varying school and work schedules. We offer a unique blend of exploration of the tree nursery along with crafts to engage children and adults on the important role trees play in our urban environment.
Programming includes:
Basic tree biology
Tree ID
Proper planting and care
Crafts, story time
Tree speaker series
Children's day camps and workshops
Adult workshops

We are able to accommodate groups up to 60, we will tailor each event to what you are looking for. TEKS aligned field trips are available on request.
